Using steam bent wood for the back and arms, this dining chair is designed for a relaxed seating position and strong support for standing up - comfortable for young and elderly users alike.
This chair is a wooden legged version of our Ro-dining chair from 2007. We adapted the design for easier production and improved its back view, since you normally see dining chairs placed facing a table.
イタリア北東部ウーディネ地方で伝統的に使われたスティーム曲げ木による背とアーム部を使ったダイニングチェアです。アーム部が前脚と繋がった構造で、両手を置いて体重をかけて立ち上がる時にしっかりした安定感があるため、高齢者にも心地よく使ってもらえる椅子です。
この椅子の原型は2007年にデザインしたRo-Dining Chairです。工作機械の近代化にあわせ、作りやすさに配慮した変更ですが、同時にテーブルに向かって置かれる椅子の「後ろ姿」を美しく、すなおに見えるようデザインしました。

A rocking chair made from steam bent beech. The front legs and rocking runners share the same curves, for economy in production, and the arm & backrest is steam formed from a single piece of solid timber.
