Nest, Monna Studio
'Translucent birds nest.'
Nest is a paper weight or jewellery dish - resting on your desk, dressing table or dining table. It is made from crystal glass with a birds nest laser engraved inside the glass.
Nest is one of five ranges of products we have designed for Monna Studio, a glass manufacturer from Istanbul.
This product is hand-finished by experienced workers - as a result they are more human than machine made products.
Nest はペーパーウエイトとして、またはくぼみにジュエリーなどの小物を置く皿として使えるガラスのオブジェです。クリスタルガラスの中に、レーザーで鳥の巣を彫り込みました。見る角度によってさまざまな表情になります。
このシリーズはイスタンブールで育ったガラスの工芸と量産のはざまのような工程 - 機械を使いながらも必ず仕上げは手仕事で、職人の腕と勘にモノの存在感がかかっている、そんな Monna Studio のもの作りを世界のマーケットに届ける試みとして始まりました。
