Jewellery Dish, Ercole Moretti
'Inviting light to lift your jewellery.'
A set of two dishes to place precious belongings, using the traditional technique of Murrine mosaic in Venice.
Ercole Moretti is one of the factories which succeeds in executing the high quality of this technique. As the material is microscopically porous and not suitable for eating plates, we designed the shape to suggest that it is not for food.
This is one of the Design Collection of Ercole Moretti, which was launched as a part of the Hands on Design exhibition at fuoriSalone, Milano, in April 2014.
『光を透すジュエリー皿』
ベニスのムラーノ島に伝わるムリーナと呼ばれるガラスのモザイクで作った、ジュエリーを置くための皿です。
エルコーレ・モレッティはムラノの伝統を受け継ぐ工房です。モザイクで作る皿には微細な穴があって食品を盛ることに向かないため、端を切り落としたデザインでそれを示し、デスク上やベッドルーム、バスルームなどでジュエリーを置くための皿をデザインしました。
サローネ期に開催されたHands on Designの展示の一部として2014年に発表しました。
