Donkey 3, Isokon Plus
'Following in tradition and adding function for contemporary use.'
A re-design of Isokon's historic piece; 'Penguin Donkey' designed by Egon Riss in 1939 and 'Penguin Donkey 2' by Ernest Race from 1963.
To adapt to contemporary needs, a small table top is added for your mug and lap-top computer, also shelf size adjusted for CD and DVD. Cut out handles add mobility for the piece, too.

1939年にグロピウスのディレクションによってエゴン・リスがデザインしたモデルと、アーネスト・レイスが1963年に郵送できるようリ・デザインした2代目を継ぐ、2003年バージョンです。最新技術を使い、今の暮らしに沿った家具にすることがが課題でした。
天面を平らにしてグラスや携帯電話などを置けるテーブル面を作り、CDやDVDを収納する棚のサイズにしました。ハンドルに手をかけ、持ち運びやすくしています。
