Harrys of London, Royal Exchange Shop
'In harmony with the location.'
At a prime location in the City of London, a new Harrys of London men's shoe shop opened in March 2012. We designed its window display and shop interior, and supervised the construction.
In a similar way to our previous design for Harrys of London's Burlington Arcade shop, we took care of their brand message in harmony with the shop location, being in a beautiful historic building in the heart of the City of London.
『周囲の環境となじむ店舗』
ロンドン金融街のRoyal Exchangeはかつての証券取引所の跡地で、1844年に建てられた当時の壁画を保存しつつ、商業施設に生まれ変わった一画にHarrys of Londの3店舗目がありました。
建物に馴染んでずっと以前からそこにあるような雰囲気にすることが課題で、できる限りオリジナルの装飾を残してディスプレイ什器と融合させています。商品ストックを内装に使いながら、顧客には書斎に座っているような安らぎを感じてもらえるインテリアです。

Harrys of London, Burlington Arcade
'Reflection of craftsmanship and tradition.'
Opened in October 2010, Harrys of London's second shop is located in London's leading historic shopping arcade.
The project aims to reflect the fine craftsmanship of the client's product, whilst being sympathetic to the atmosphere of the location. Our concept was to open up the window view, drawing the customers attention inside, making them want to engage with the product. We also provided maximum storage within the limited shop floor, by displaying their shoe boxes efficiently.
『ブランドの品質と場所の伝統を表わすインテリア』
このインテリアでは、ハリーズ・オブ・ロンドンの丁寧な靴作りの姿勢を伝えること、由緒あるバーリントン・アーケードの雰囲気にとけこみ、受け入れられやすい気品を作りだすことが課題でした。ウィンドーを開放的にして通行する人の視線を店内に導き、中に入ったらくつろいで靴を試せるよう、背の高いアームチェアで外からの視線を遮っています。壁紙のような使い方をしているブランドの靴箱は鉄板で棚を作り付け、間に照明のついた木製のディスプレイ棚を配置しました。
