Nest is a paper weight or jewellery dish - resting on your desk, dressing table or dining table. It is made from crystal glass with a birds nest laser engraved inside the glass.
Nest is one of five ranges of products we have designed for Monna Studio, a glass manufacturer from Istanbul.
This product is hand-finished by experienced workers - as a result they are more human than machine made products.
Nest はペーパーウエイトとして、またはくぼみにジュエリーなどの小物を置く皿として使ってもらえるガラスのオブジェです。
クリスタルガラスの塊の中に、レーザー彫刻で鳥の巣を彫り込みました。見る角度によってさまざまな表情を見せます。
このシリーズはイスタンブールで時間をかけて育ったガラスの工芸技術と量産のはざまのような工程 - 機械を使いながらも必ず仕上げは手仕事で、職人の腕と勘にモノとしての存在感がかかっている、そんな Monna Studio のもの作りを世界のマーケットに届ける試みとして始まりました。
