Our flat packed desk lamp 'Little Woods', for Maxray (Japan) is exhibitted in 'Wa' exhibition in Paris, at Maison de la culture du Japon å Paris.  This exhibition is edited by 4 design journalist/curators, contains about 160 objects, revealing underlined traditional crafts in modern design.

The exhibition has opened, will continue over the Christmas holidays and ends on 31 January 2009.

パリ日本文化会館で開催中の『Wa: 現代日本のデザインと調和の精神』展にマックスレイ社より発売された「Little Woods」が展示されています。展示会は4人のデザインジャーナリスト／キュレーターによって詳細選ばれた160点のオブジェクトによって構成され、空間のデザインはTONERICOが手がけています。

『OnGround』 - Respire (呼吸)

「自分の中にある欲求を正直にカタチにする」を テーマとした2006年の「OnWal」を一歩発展させ、 新メンバーも加えて「OnGround」を再結成しました。 あわただしい毎日の中、ちょっと立ち止まって 「どこかに矛盾を感じてない？」と自分に問いかける。 そんな時間をいつでもどこでも持つための小さな空間、 自分の呼吸の音に気づくためのシェルターを提案します。

今年のロンドン・デザイン・フェスティバルは終わりましたが、一つだけ、参加している展示会が10月19日まで続いています。オープン時間が短いので、チェックしてからお出かけください。MotherというPRエージェンシーのオフィス内での展示で、ビルの中が面白いです。展示会に関する記事が記事がdezeenに載りました。

Our courtyard gardening was good early this summer, in June and July, but the cherry tomatoes had not turned red by mid-September.  So we picked them and placed them in a bowl with a ripe Banana, which helps turn green tomatoes to red.

It worked!
They turned into red day by day, then we had them for lunch recently - salad, soup and sauce of Gnocchi, Yasu made. Yummy.

夏の初めはお天気に恵まれ、ぐんぐん育った中庭のトマトですが、8月になって雨が降り続き、しっかり実ったトマトがぜんぜん赤くならなかった。葉が枯れて来たので緑のままトマトは収穫し、アシスタントの提案でバナナと一緒にしばらく置いてみた。バナナやりんごはトマトの実を赤くするんだそうです。半信半疑だったのだけど、2週間ぐらいすると色づき始め食べれるようになりました。

サラダになり、スープに入り、ニョッキのソースになった裏庭菜園のトマト達。来年は自家製コンポストで育てます。

The third year show of ten London designers, talking and exhibiting products to raise discussion on Design and Sustainability.  This year we have two partners Twentytwentyone and Crafts Council, and opened new era to seek possibility of 'salable' product. Dezeen features Wood by Ten.
