Since last December, an on-line exhibition of Table=Chest is on Crafts Council web site.  It is titled 'An object Journey', within their interesting programs, they try to reveal various aspects in design and craft. Please enjoy a movie by Uniform, which was commissioned for this exhibition.  If go to blog section of this page, the curator of this on-line exhibition Sara Turner is discussing about the object and location of where they are.  You are in fact invited to post photos and comments related the object.

昨年12月にアップされたオンライン展示を紹介します。1995年にデザインした家具「Table=Chest」が生まれた瞬間から巡って来た旅、というテーマで、英国の工芸協会（Crafts Council)が編集し、Uniformというメディア集団がムービーを制作しました。ブログではキュレーターのサラ・ターナーが、どんな場所やどんなテーマの企画展に登場したか、デザイン界にどんな影響を（ささやかですが）与えているかなど、ディスカッションしています。クラフツ・カウンシルのこの展示のシリーズでは、工芸やデザインのオブジェを巡る、いろいろな角度からの考察を見る事ができます。

Hexad coffee table we have designed for Benchmark and Rocket Gallery has won the Best Coffee Table award at wallpaper* Design Awards 2010!

昨年秋に発表したRocket GalleryとBemchmark のためのコーヒーテーブル『Hexad』がWallpaperマガジンのデザイン賞で「ベスト・コーヒーテーブル賞」を受賞しました。雑誌Wallpaperの今月号にすべての受賞作品と一緒に写真も掲載されています。

新年あけましておめでとうございます。

It's freezing here in London since New Year's day!  Chilly and bright - beautiful.

年明けから寒波に覆われているロンドンですが、青空がのぞくときらきらとした光が綺麗です。

樹氷が出来るような気候は今まであまり体験しませんでしたが、今週後半は雪が降るそうだし、イギリス沖を流れるメキシコ湾流がルートを変えはじめ、これから冬は寒くなる、、、というのは本当かもしれないです。

Spin Recharge Table for MARK is featured in a new book, Creative Island Ⅱ by John Sorrell.

The book is the second volume of its first title from 2002, featuring creativities of Britain from varietyt of angles.  The Spin Recharge is featured under 'Humanism' clause.

コーンウォールの会社MARKのためにデザインした「Spin Recharge Table」がジョン・ソレルの著書「Creative Island Ⅱ」で取り上げられました。この本は先行の「Creative Island」に続き、イギリス国内で発表されたさまざまなジャンルのデザインをいくつかの切り口で紹介しています。

Yasu is a risotto expert and this time was with Pumpkin.  We had two large ones from current veg box.  We ate it with Corn and Chard warm salad.

今年は宅配の有機野菜ボックスに毎週かぼちゃが入っていて、よく食べています。スタッフの一人、桜井君の得意メニューのひとつはリゾットで、このパンプキン・リゾットもとっても美味しかった。季節の野菜はパワーをくれます。

Harry Richardon of Committee is giving students a talk at London Metropolitan University on Thursday 19 Nov. 5.30 pm.

Soup makes me very happy when you feel winter in the air.
